Actually, everything in the room is carved out of the same tree.

ah i mean how the lines meet across objects. like the wall grain lines matching the tub grain lines. point for point despite the angle.

Eh... I was lazy. I just made a wood texture file and pasted it into the comic and rotated it to match the perspective on the objects.

Be thankful she rotated it.
They're in a tree?

It's about time I changed desktops.
I saw a cool show on Madagascar last night, full of varieties of lemurs, all sorts of bizarre chameleons, and 1200 year old trees which looked like enormous tall 12' dia. smooth water tank cylinders, with little tufts of branches along the top perimeter.

I havent been here in a while, but I gotta say, I really like the colorfull style this is picking up. Really stands out against those first white-heavy pages.

There are only two real differences between recent comics and early ones...
1) I actually drew backgrounds. 2) The space between panels is black instead of white. Somehow white stands out on monitors more than black, but it's the other way on paper...

This page was freaking HARD to draw... Conifer trees are hard enough to draw as it is, but good luck getting reference pictures from an angle like that! I had to use satellite images of forested areas to try and get an idea how to do that last panel...

Each of these new perspectives though is adding to your whole ability to think and draw in perspective though. Nice choice.
