If only they were real! So beautiful! I want a daffokura! T-T
They could be real on the otherside of the mirror though!*runs and gets eaten*

The pink... IT BURNS US..... Charming indeed. Did you do the branches with the brush tool?

Lovely. Incidentally, they're identical to the ones Kbpinkie is adorned with (except the white part which is sweeter that I'd imagined). Did you start these before or after I sent you the Kbpinkie style guide? They look a lot like the hibiscus in my yard, which I'm sure was my inspiration.
Well, I have a new desktop now.
Mind if I steal them?

Its beautiful.
I like how you've captured the shape of the flowers.

Kbpinkie thanks you. I'll probably just use them as inspiration. They're not quite the right geometry for frog worts, and too complex. The method of shading/sculpting with scribbles will be hugely useful in many situations though.
I 'm so inspired and itching to do some Kbpinkie art now, but I'll have to wait a month or two for that. Maybe I can fit a day in, to at least get design ideas brewing. I've never done anything close to character art except my old dragonfly doodles during dragonfly studies in marker pens.
Hopefully one doesn't get rusty at such things.
I think I want to start off doing abstract art portarits emulating sumi-e in acrylics, then scan that into Flash. Oooh cringe, recalling how much I hate anchor points. never did get good at using them.

The latest Flash can trace scanned images pretty nicely, turns em into vector without you having to tweak anchor points.

My problem was 20000 anchor points, and if you accidentally twist just one it turns your whole line art into a hyperbolic intergalactic wormhole. I never succeeded at reducing the number of anchor points to maybe three dozen so I could have some hope of tweening them. Deleting an anchor point seemed to destroy my curves too, though surely I didn't know what I was doing.

Uhh, yeah, if you wanna do flash stuff you gotta get the latest version, for it is awesome.

Does the anchor scene sound any better? I wanted to capture the texture of my lines without so many anchors.
Gotta run for class.

Y'know, these days you hardly need to mess with anchor points, but it does sound better.

How do you mean? I mean if you have a scanned smile and need to tween (or manually drag) it into a frown, you have to tween a bunch of anchors. Tweening 12 anchors is manageable; tweening 600 is not.
Why would you need to mess with anchors less?

Because with a few clicks, you can optimize the thing to use the smallest amount of anchors possible.
