Oh please no. I think that's one of the features which crashed a prior forum. Oh wait, it's already in place here. Probably you just click Exalt or Smite below someone's avatar to indicate your [dis]pleasure at their deeds.
My karma is down to zero for emulating the sounds of prostitutes, and exalting them with lyrics, when the subject was brought up.

To me it`s like the Reputation meter on VBulletin. Infact I think that`s what it is.

Yeah, it's pretty much a reputation meter. If you like somebody's post, you click Exalt. If you dislike it, click Smite.
But it's probably a bad idea to keep it up. Popularity wars pending! *Disables karma*

eBay has something similar, their feedback system. Someone suggested to me that it was worthless because no one gives bad accurate feedback, even if they were screwed, for fear of ruining their own feedback. Neutral feedback is also considered bad there. I thought that was rediculous until I recently gave someone neutral feedback for sending me the wrong product. (Pearl pigments in one set of colors instead of another). I lived with it because it was too much hassle to return, and there wasn't any indication that they had a correct replacement anyhow. So yeah, they end up giving me neutral feedback too, in which they called me a bad eBayer, and ruined my perfect reputation there. Maybe they could use a volunteer referee system to settle disputes over feedback, but, like any bureaucracy, where would it end?
