I read about this in 1972 as a kid in Jeanne Roses Herbal, the popular hippie herbal witch book of the day. It described it as favored by poor New Orleans hookers in the 1920's, and also included the instructions not mentioned on the link about shaking up the bottle before inserting it. I expect it's actually more effective than the site lets on when used in such a manner. The site is probably sponsored by coca-cola, in spite of them dissing the process. Day-after (or 10 minutes later) pills may not be easy to come by.
I saw a non-smoking billboard today which reminds me that they are created by the tobacco industry. It pictures a cigarette burning in an ashtray with the caption "Losing weight comes at a cost". People driving past billboards will identify a cigarette and subconsciously read as far as "Losing weight". If they get further, it's the cost of cigarettes. The actual costs of smoking cigarettes is a bit much processing for driving past a billboard.
