I'm not much of an Archie fan. I'm talking about those cheap Archie comics with Jughead, Betty, Veronica, Cheryl Blossom, and all those other countless characters... But I just found out something that really threw me for a loop. Archie's gonna marry Veronica. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30983247/What a way to kill a comic. After 68 years of Archie's indecision being a focal point, they're putting it to an end.

68 years of indecision, yeah.
OMG, they all look like dolts now. They looked human when I was a kid.
They should have an alternate series in which their supernatural longevity is explained by their secret lives as space aliens (like Zenna Henderson's 'The People - No different flesh') or something. I might read that.
Speaking of alternate supernatural realms, I've come across an amazing 1996 BBC series on Netflix, 'Neverwhere'. It's a story premise I conceived of myself back in '92. It deals with the London Underground, populated by angels, cannibals, velvets, gladiators, and such, dating back to historic times. Above ground they appear as the homeless where people can't really see them. Whoever wrote the show exhibits some knowledge of real magic. Music is by Brian Eno in spite of low budget. One of the Baronies takes their orders from a rat; how cool is that? The main character was an above grounder, but suddenly finds himself practically invisible to people above after rescuing some beautiful gashed woman who can teleport through walls and speak to birds.
