Epic.
This barely qualifies as silly, but a wise man tried discussing spirituality with me and decided I'd understand best if he compared the mind to a blank harddrive. He told me that everything in my current 'hardddrive,' including the BIOS, was all spam and crap downloaded off the internet... that I should wipe it all so I can develop my own original AI.

That's pretty deep, and probably true, but try thinking without a BIOS.

My brother, talking about a difficult challenge in a video game: "That's so gay!" Me: "No, it's not; it's totally heterosexual. It just dresses flamboyantly."

=P Dude, octopi are escape artists on top of being super intelligent. There's an octopus at an aquarium that likes to sneak out of it's tank into others and eat those fish, then sneak back into its own tank before the humans come around.

That's so cool. I didn't know octopi were intelligent.

Oh, they totally are! And I've heard they act similar to housecats. Hmmm, here's the Wikipedia entry about octopus intelligence...
*Reading up on other sources* Hmm. According to this person who keeps octopi as pets, they need to be kept away from eels, because eels and octopi totally hate eachother. Sounds like cats and snakes...

Gah, keep everything aay from eels; octopi, cats, moose; I'm not even sure eels like to hang with eels.
How does one anesthestize a critter that's all brain? Even mice learn by observation. Now if they picked combination locks to eat crabs, I'd be impressed.
Haven't seen my pet raccoon, Raku lately. Others in my building aren't fond of him living under the apartment.

I don't know if they pick combination locks, but they know how to open tanks with lids and squeeze out of the tiniest cracks in tanks with them. Thing is, they can only learn so much, because they have super short lifespans. Some only live for six months, some for three years.

Mice only live that long. I'm intrigued anyhow. All their color and motion stuff is pretty wild. I bet they'd make great templates for computer processors.
